Nuts & Washers

Our vast inventory of domestic and import heavy hex nuts and flat washers allows for same day delivery in up to truckload quantities. We manufacture carbon, alloy, stainless and monel products in all specifications. Plain and Hot Dipped Galvanized are always in stock. Other platings and coatings are available. All domestic nuts are fully traceable to individual heat treat lots and can be supplied with original mill certifications.

Dyson can produce all forms of internally threaded fasteners. Starting with semi-finished blanks or bar stock, we forge and/or machine to meet or exceed your exact needs. From 1" titanium jams with UNJ threads to 6" octagon nitronic pin nuts, nothing is too special. Also remember Dyson can supply all varieties of insert type and all metal locking nuts.

DOMESTIC NUT

Domestic Nut specializes in high quality, low cost forged nuts produced on high speed hot formers equipped with induction heating systems. Depending on the nut size, these modern machines can produce from 58 to 120 nuts per minute, enabling us to compete internationally at world class prices and quantity.

Dyson maintains a large Inventory of blank and finished nuts, as well as finished washers. Same day shipments are available. Specials can be produced in a wide variety of sizes and materials. In-house forging, machining, heat treat and mechanical testing allows for quick turnaround on all non-standard nuts and washers.

The Dyson D-LOC® is a free spinning self-locking nut that seals and dampens vibration. The nut has an insert on the bearing surface that flows into the internal & external threads when fully torqued. The insert comes in a variety of materials to handle varying temperatures. Samples are available upon request.

Thread Options:

• Standard threads are UNC, 8UN & UNF. Class 2B. Right Hand.
• HDG nuts are tapped oversized after coating.
• Class 3B is available.
• Right hand and left hand threads available.
• Root and Crest radius (UNR & UNJ) are available.
• Specials include interference fit, ACME, Buttress, Whitworth, Pipe, tapered and custom.
• Threads are tapped (thru 4") as a standard. Available options are single point cut (thru 20") or ground.
• Blunt start threads are available.
• Blank nuts are available.

Machine Options:

• Standard nuts up to 2-1/4" have all hot forged surfaces.
• Standard nuts over 2-1/4" have a machined bearing surface.
• Specials can have any surface machined and/or ground. We can work to your required tolerances and finishes.

Coating Options:

Dyson uses only qualified coaters and can offer most finishes including HDG, mechanical galv, Zinc, Cadmium, Chrome, Black Oxide, Phosphate, Nickel and Copper.
